Hi Tricia! Oh man, those HS footballers bug! They take over my whole gym sometimes, and half the time the cheerleaders follow so its just a huge flirt-fest! Anyway, nice workout!

Had to make some modifications to today's wo b/c of the crowd... Chest/Shoulders and Triceps Incline Dumbbell Bench 35's x 12/12 37.5's x 10/10 Incline Dumbbell Flies 20 x 15, 15 Smith Bench 50 x 12,12,12 Smith Machine Front Presses 30 x 10 35 x 8,8 Dumbbell Side Laterals 12's x 12,12,12,12 Overhead Cable Triceps Extensions 55 x 10 60 x 8,8 Reverse Grip Straight bar Pushdowns 50 x 12 45 x 12,12 Couldn't do the treadmill b/c I had WICKED shin splints so I did 35 min of "intervals" on the stepmill. HIgh rep leg day. This wo kicked my butt! Lots of burning going on High Rep Leg Day Leg Extension 45 x 30,30,30 Smith Squats 70x 20,20,20,20 Leg Press (feet 4" apart) (different machine this wo) These burned so bad!! 90 x 30,30,30,30 Alt Barbell Lunges 50 x 20/leg Seated Leg Curl 65 x 15,15,15 Hyperextensions (fire ) 3x 12,12, 12 Seated Calf Raises 70 x 20,20,20,20 20 min bike training which was hard this am. My legs did not want to cooperate! These 20 min seemed to last 60! 20 Min HIIT tonight. High carb day and feeling bloated again. Energy throughout day was good. Feeling tired now though! Hungry again today. I feel lots of muscle soreness and fatigue but I love it! Rest day and no carb day tomorrow. Should be getting the next weeks plan from Alex too. Not on topic of BB'ing, but had a really nice thing happen today. I will spare all the details, but One of my patients gave me one of her antique silver bracelets that she has been wearing for 10 years. I was really touched. (especially b/c this woman is a bit difficult) Brought tears to my eyes! just thought I would stop by and look at your log..yes, I will still take my pajama picture for you.lol *waves* So glad you stopped on over here I am waiting for that pic!!!

I've been meaning to suggest you check your shoes. Most of my cardio issues come from the wrong shoes. Shin splints can be prevented if you are wearing the right shoes (yes, I am a runner masquerading as a bodybuilder, lol). Check out www.roadrunnersports.com if you don't know what type of shoe you need. This is mainly for treadmill work, I have different issues when it comes to elliptical/stairclimber, then its how you tie your shoes that makes the difference, lol... best of Luck!

I did go buy new shoes and hopefully they will help. I have been having shin splints for as long as I can remember. New shoes or not (only time I get them is on the treadmill or when I walk). I have ankle issues and if I tape them up nice and tight it helps, but who has time for that These new shoes better help some of the pain...they cost me enough

I'm sure you have thought of this before-- but you may think about giving swimming a try for a couple weeks? In my "old age" I have learned to stop fighting against my body when it is telling me something, and find a way to step away from whatever is hurting me and find something else for a while. I am def not a great swimmer, but it is awesome cardio-- and impact free, which sounds like what your aching legs and ankles are crying out for!

Happy Hump day No lifting today. 45 min of fasted cardio, posing and abs this am (didn't get them in yesterday). Went back to the gym for my hill training. Had to stop about 5 min into it b/c the shin splints were so intense. So I did 35 min on the stepmill, alternating the speed. Energy was OK today. I am looking forward to my carbs tomorrow!! Noticing more definition. Looking flat though. Tomorrow is high carb day, so hoping to fill back out w/ o the bloat. I'm sure you have thought of this before-- but you may think about giving swimming a try for a couple weeks? Busy day. Gonna get a quick post in and dont know if I will be able to do much visiting.
Today was an interesting day. Had a bit of a scare. Don't know what is causing it, but after I ate my 3rd meal I got the "gonna pass out feeling". Ears filled up, black spots and very dizzy. Been feeling off since. I had whole wheat pasta w/ this meal. Wondering if I had some kind of reaction. Just finished my rice and still feel off.
Anyway...made it through the day. Just got home. Have lots to do yet but am hoping for an early bedtime!
Back and Bis today. Really focused on squeezing! Had to make a few equipment changes due to the crowd, but got a good one in.

Feeling better today. Still a bit foggy, but my energy is back and the dizziness and headache are gone. I really think it was the carbs. I haven't had pasta in AGES. I tend to be hypersensitive to things so hoping that is what is was. (or a quick bug)
Checked a few things today: BP good, Glucose good, Hemo a little low, but nothing that should cause my sx yesterday. I will continue to see how I feel before pursuing other things.
