I always do cardio in the offseason for 2 reason. First and Foremost the heart is the most improtant muscle of all without a strong and healthy heart life is not possible. Cardio (I only do low intensity both offseason and Pre contest) is the best way to exercise and strengthen your heart. So the First Reason is for heart healthy the second reason I always do cardio in the offseason is to Keep my appetite going. Naturally I dont get hungry all the time. Good with 3 big old meals but In the offseason if I dont do my cardio it is a struggle to get down 6-7 good sized meals a day. The food is neccessary to put on good size.

Asolutley I do cardio on or off! It's part of training the body. It's the way of conditioning the heart....and a strong heart is the most important muscle to build. My favorite machines are the Elliptical and Treadmill.

i like the bike... to be honest i have no real good reason why i like it. I think it pertains to the fact that i dont fatique my arms like on the elliptical, and i get a better workout on the bike compared to a treadmill or stepper

I have never heard anyone say they get a better workout on the bike than the Tredmill or stepper. Is it that you like it better or do you just feel it works better for you

I personally love doing medicine ball circuits for my cardio along with Treadmills. I usually do some throws and twist with the medicine ball that some jumps or other plyometrics for 30 secs on 1 minute off type thing. Just seems to be the most entertaining.
